On the latest Friday Morning Coffee, host Caitlin Malcuit and guest co-host Scott Cassell discuss the looming Major League Baseball lockout and the debate over a potential salary cap.
Malcuit also pays tribute to former Washington Post film critic Ann Hornaday—who passed away this week and who graced our airwaves back in 2018—and Anthony Varvaro—a standout pitcher at St. John's University and played in the majors for the Seattle Mariners, Atlanta Braves, and Boston Red Sox—who lost his life in a car accident on Sept. 11, 2022 and was honored with a plaque at Jack Kaiser Stadium this past weekend.
Longtime sportswriter and author Ken Davidoff then joins Daniel Ford to chat about his book 101 Lessons from the Dugout: What Baseball and Softball Can Teach Us About the Game of Life (written with Harley A. Rotbart).
